Our origin story

Hey all, 

These days in the digital world one extra click means the world, so thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

As you know, I’ve rebranded and I wanted to share my reasons for rebranding. For the past three decades of my life, I’ve always conformed to society’s norm, and changed me to fit society. In these short two years, I’ve quit my teaching job, became a stay-at-home-mom, then jumped off a cliff (metaphorically speaking) into the world of starting my own business. Not to mention right after launching my business I took another chance and dove into the world of technology and switched my career. 

It’s so crazy how much growth one person can go through in two years, but looking back at it, I am beyond proud of myself and the people around me that cheered me on. I learned it’s ok to dye my hair crazy colors, it’s ok to gain a little weight and it’s darn ok to be NOT perfect. I've learned that I am beyond comfortable with myself and even though I know I will fail along the way, I’m ok with that. 

Back to rebranding…what does “nol jah” mean? It means “let’s play” in Korean. Let’s play with what life has offered us, let’s play with our styles and express ourselves. Let’s do what we love to do and surround ourselves with people that bring us joy! 

So here’s to this Korean-American,  first time mom, extreme introvert who struggles with big crowd to learn even more through nol.jah.
